Magazine Reflection

When I became part of Randy's humanities class, I traveled with knowledge of Writing, Drafting & Revision, and Creativity & Originality. Through out the magazine, I showed the transition of my knowledge going through my work and become to present my own type of writing style.

In my magazine article, I learned to improve in writing by making sentences simpler, drafting & revision being really on target with minor mistakes like periods, numbers and percentages and lastly adding creativity & originality to my flow of writing like forming unique sense of explaining my message or using original messages to mural my story. These writing tools took time to adjust mind-state of information to improve upon my areas of weakness.

These traits are no longer explanatory advice that someone gives, it's more like a necessity you have to worry about as a writer. I receive the strategies to traits important because it makes you think about how important it is to be serious. I will always feel the knowledge I learn to be important because it is always going to appear back in the real-world. That's the way school and internship cope by because the education one learns at school regardless or not gets put into play so one can experience if that's a right start to a road of success.

Reflection pt.2

1. Overall, when you think about the big picture of your writing, what improved? How did it get better? Why?

My writing has put me through many paths. First of all, I feel that my intros, sentence structure, conclusions all improved. The first intro I had made a really weak appeal to my photo essay, but through many copy edits I improved with many taught strategies. My edit for my intro improved because the more I copy-edited, the concise it got. I started using better words like present tense and getting rid-off sledge hammer words and words that end with “ing”. I also just got straight to the point in order for my future audience to avoid being bored. My favorite writing strategy is “Simpler is Better”.

My sentence structure is my second improvement. I also feel great that I understood the writing format that article authors use like “the loop method”. I structured my intro and conclusion to establish a clear path for my reader to understand my photo essay story. I also collected the mind set to make my sentences short to let my clear ideas flow naturally.

My last improvement was towards my conclusion. My conclusion had a lot of scrambled Ideas in many sentences. I improved my conclusion through many copy-edits that dealt with stumbled paths to clear understanding. I improved my conclusion by adding a “wonder” line that makes people think about what I will do later on.

2. Overall, when you think about the big picture of your writing, what still needs work? What do you think will help you improve? Why?

My basic weakness in writing is establishing transition paragraphs. Transition paragraphs are paragraphs that give a reader an idea with what’s going to happen next. I realize that this weakness can become a strength with multiple drafts to establish a mind set. I believe, once I have this strength I feel that my writing will be enforced greater.

3. Specifically, show us something that improved and describe the path it took to get better. You can quote your article, your drafts, link to evidence, etc.

My first draft of my photo essay included my beginning sentence of my introduction as a starter for my reader to under stand at first. The beginning sentence of my 1st draft is "Stephen x. pineda, an average 16-year old high school who had his main focus on his hobby as well as in putting outstanding effort in school ever since 9th grade." While going through the process of copy editing my photo essay entirely has improved by the last draft. My current beginning sentence of my final draft is "Before Reality Changers, I used to spend my Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at soccer practice while finding the time to maintain an average GPA with a blurry path to college. With the evaluation of coming from a road of distracted ideas to following a clear ideal path. After the whole process I see a big change of re-wording and see many different structures that explain greatly.

4. Describe something specific (or a few things!) that you learned about writing.

My main idea that I learned in writing is not the complicated words you put in text to make it sound real good but the simple words you scramble with flow and the sentences that are dedicated to be better refined.

This is due at the end of the day on Wednesday 5/27!

Magazine Article Reflection

1. What went well for you during the process of creating this magazine?

I believe that the whole layout was great. I felt the magazine process wasn't bad idea to make as an end-of-the year project. I really felt that the process was really quick to do. The functions in laying-out the writing pieces were really simple. The only struggled I had couple of minor confusions of small functions.

2. What challenges did you face as you moved from an early draft or idea to a final product?

The challenges that I faced were many at 1st. I thought I knew what copy-editing was until randy helped me realize. Randy said that complexity isn't always the best way to go. When it came to the copy-editing process, it took me several drafts like about 6 in total. I felt that each draft improved my writing, beginning the complex text to simple flow text took very good improvements from all drafts. The other challenge I had was basically trying to come up with a title and also trying to maintain my photo essay neat with good choice of wording.

3. What other examples of work—student and professional—stood out as exemplary and served as a good model for your own work?

An example of work that stood by me was the art project that I made based on Huey P. Newton & Bob Marley. I've used the skill of forming my text paragraphs smaller and creating them flow better. I have never felt this better in my chapter of progress due to my writing enhancing with newer techniques that better my writing style. The artwork in the project above was excellent, but the paper gave it juice to my project by explaining the pride resemblance of both comrades.

OBAMA = SOCIALISM

Obama & Socialism

Google the phrase "Obama Socialism". What do you get? Try Google news... what did you find?

I found an article that explains that Obama made a confrontation towards Hugo Chavez and shook hands, and seemed really sudden that Obama just went hand on hand with Chavez after past arguments with Venezuela and arguments that weren't taken so calmly when Chavez insulted Bush (even though I dislike bush).

Do you feel that the label "socialism" is applied appropriately or correctly to Obama, his proposals or his policies?
I do strongly agree that Obama's character in labeling policies and exploiting ideas by speeches has got him into following the socialism path. I would have never thought that Obama would forfeit past arguments that caused many Americans to start changing a view on him. I know that Obama is trying to clear up certain stuff that happened back then, but lets not get all friendly to all countries because one never knows what kind of business other countries might put us in.

Do Obama's proposals or policies have historic precedents in America? If so, what happened in the past?

Well, Obama has taken the recent name of FDR by some similar situations that Obama has handled recently such as the stimulus bills and FDR's new deal. I'm guessing, Obama made his decisions by evaluating strategies from past presidents experiences. Obama's spoken word before he got elected, was similar to many presidents that tried to initiate a great start with some fables, but some serve great while other's almost destroyed the U.S. country. Obama still has time to change any confusions, and personally I think the decisions he makes are by rush of pressure from the economy. As Obama said once "That he would be happy to adopt ideas that work, whether they come from FDR or Reagan."

Stephen's Photo essay

Caption 1

“Unity”, that's the word I think about when I see this picture. The blue shirts that spell out “Reality Changers” are a form of commitment for every student that is wearing one because it shows that they are there to support the group. These students in return including me, wear the blue shirts at special events and community service. In which the organization has supported them through earning big amounts of scholarships for college to have same financial advantages. These individuals have been there since 6:30am united to show pride & support for Reality Changers to go on a journey of knowledge to UCSD's event “Comienza con un Sueño (3/7/09)” traveling on a forest-green bus provided by “Pt. Loma Nazarene University”. As the bus waits for Reality Changers, we hop on knowing we are in for great things at UCSD and feeling carefree as we transform into new people with a positive attitude while wearing that blue shirt and participating in the event, and volunteering.

Caption 2

As we arrive smoothly at UCSD for the event, we walked for a while until we came to the registration stands in order to be able to enter the event, and in my mind during that time I ran thoughts of “Impatience” to see what was happening. After we walked towards the UCSD Library to have a lunch of Rubios’ breakfast burritos at the event, we ate with wonder about what the event was going hold. As I turned towards the stage, I was amazed by these young girls wearing dresses with a spread of bright colors all over and dancing to “Ranchera” music. The first word I thought of was “Hispanic Culture” because those girls were up there performing their talent with pride and ignoring rude comments that were said out loud by individuals in the audience. The thing that caused the biggest impact on me was how a teenage girl in the audience realized the disrespect others were giving to performers on stage. The teenage girl said to herself; “These girls are really pretty performing and the audience is being selfish to their moment of shine, but I'll stay quiet because at least it'll be one less individual to the chaos.” I felt it was very rare for someone to have and say an epiphany out loud all of a sudden.

Caption 3

After seeing that, I thought back and realized that we people in the blue shirts have had many epiphanies during moments in the group and always become more responsible and aware for the actions we do and others actions as well. After the performance, our group leaders handed us optional essay assignments that UCSD decided to give out to the audience for a chance to win at $500 and also present their essay to UCSD's student body. We all had to fill out the background information that they asked on the sheet, so on our spare time we can get ahead to attempt the prompt. Even though, I knew the chances of me winning the grand dollar prize was 1 in 1000, I thought about the richer reward in that offer is earning high quality writing skills instead because I knew that any writing offer will improve my chances in life to high outcomes that one could never imagine.

Caption 4

Later that day, our group leaders handed out flyers to us that listed some free workshop presentations in the “Comienza Con un Sueño” event. As we walked as a group to the other side of the campus, we headed straight to the classroom where we were going to learn about “The Education Challenge for Young Chicano Men”. My first impression being inside the class was “school... school”, but soon after, the attention span in the room grew due to the instructor serious tone. My view of the connection she made upon the corruption of security forces and the life of an illegal immigrant and the risks they take every single day was sturdy. The knowledge that I gained throughout the first part of her discussion led me to feel serious and emotional for illegal immigrants. It is sad, because a citizen that has had the road paved for them by birth gets to live without worries most times and while the tables are turned for immigrants because they worry every single day that they will be caught by the ICE agents in a job/street raid. This attitude is unusual for me but situations like these open up my eyes, and make me realize on how good I have it.

Caption 5

Moments after recovering, my feelings changed from sadness to outrage while watching the slides the instructor showed of harmful threats to illegal immigrants and the overall the minority citizen society. These images caught my eye because instead of always seeing the security forces as protagonists, they showed that they have a dark side. A group of Lincoln High students that are part of M.E.C.H.A (an activist group for minority races such as African American & Hispanics against militant forces) captured footage of an ICE agent tackling an undocumented individual at 24th and “C” Street. The individual was waiting at a bus stop for work in order to make ends meet for his family, when a white van pulls up and Ice agents jump out of the van, and tackle the individual. The question in the bottom of the picture made a good case because I used to see militant forces as a good service for our country, but I didn't think about everyone when I say “Our Country” because I can think of it as my country, but not every one can call it home.

Caption 6

After coming from the first class of “The Educational Challenge for Young Chicano Men”, I found myself looking forward to going into another workshop presentation “Latino Youth: From Survival to Success” because of how interesting and life touching the first workshop was. As I walked in the class along with few other students from Reality Changers, we managed to get comfortable with the instructor after getting multiple laughs from his “George Lopez impersonation” which made the whole audience feel really welcomed. As the instructor did his presentation, he helped us find our self-esteem with the question of “How to be successful” and surpassing any limits when it comes to dreams. In the same way, he managed to remind me where my roots were and made me relate with my connection of using my Uncle's motto of “Difficulty is easy, but the impossible takes a little longer” as a big mote in my life. Lastly, I feel that without his personality and the life situations he explained, I wouldn't be able to relate to him on any common ground.

Caption 7

Lastly, arriving back from the event at UCSD on the Forest green bus provided by “Pt. Loma Nazarene University” to the Reality Changers building in City Heights, we sat down with everybody and had everyone share at least one interesting part of the event. In the Reality Changers organization there's more to it then only wearing a blue shirt, there's bonding involved and truly a second family for me because these are people that are always going to stand up for you through thick and thin. One great cause is that we are a second family for others because we will support a member's and other families by setting up events and taking leadership and placing it before our names. As the day ended, we waited for everyone's ride to arrive because of our loyalty for each other. As we move forward, we manage to show how us members from Reality Changers come from different backgrounds, yet use all lend a hand back to the community, that also gave us a chance of succeeding higher level education, and in our career paths.

Magazine

Every student will contribute at least one polished, high quality piece of writing. This could be an article, interview, photo essay, or editorials, personal narratives, reflections, or more.

1. What article(s) would you like to write for the magazine? What photography could you contribute? Art? List three different ideas for your major contribution.

Well, I would to add my photo essay because I feel throughout this semester, my writing has gotten more in-depth and I feel my language has learn to chose better words when it comes into explaining with detail. My Photo essay really brings out the best in my work in order for someone like teachers because they can be able to analyze my growth between many scenarios in how I got up to my success point.

2. Suggest at least one (or more) possible title for the magazine. This could be a title with or without a subtitle. For example, I work for UnBoxed: a Journal of Adult Learning in Schools.

On The Set: a Journal of Class of 2010 Accomplishments

3. Suggest a topic for an article that you were personally like to read in a magazine inspired by the internship semester.

I would like to read about the "Contribution section of the internships sites" and how good the sites benefited from those possible ideas. I find it really interesting because you never when a possibility can be great for big corporations or organizations.

Monday's warm-up questions #1

What did you learn during immersion? How did you learn it?

Well, I improved on my understanding of flexibility from experience at my workplace of REALITY CHANGERS. Reality changers is a non-profit organization that focuses with disadvantaged individuals with a chance to provide scholarships for students to become 1st generation college students. What I learned during immersion that the daily routine scheduled that I encountered during Tuesday/Thursday were very different than 2 weeks of full on observation. The way for my mentor to adjust to that type of form of routine schedule is really stressful because she says that each week is based on working on a certain theme. The way I understood this work concept because it is similar to projects for each class, and my mindset has allowed me to format myself to adjust to the strategies at school with many dealines. I encountered the knowledge of recognition with establishing many relationships with big foundations to lend a hand to a dream I will like to make noticeable and become huge. Since my immersion internship focused on blasting itself to the public with recognition to great outcomes for the public.

What I hope to use in the future will be my motivation to this slogan such as "It's not the product you sell, but how you sizzle the product for the public"

Internship Immersion flight

As you prepare for your internship immersion, please answer the following questions:

1. What are you most excited about in regards to your immersion experience? Why do you feel this way?

1st to start is that, I been pretty chill in my workplace because I know my mentor really well and everyone else that works around her. I feel that my tasks have been pretty easy to do and my project is coming along really quickly with all further adue. I'm pretty excited that I am going to be going to lunch meeting with staff, the executive director, and last but not least my mentor. I feel that I have alot at large during immersion week, my schedule is pretty busy towards many events I will be participating in, one last thing I know for a fact I'm getting work done now, and will be getting work done later.

2. What are you most concerned about (what causes the most stress) regarding immersion? Why do you feel this way?

One thing that concerns me the most is my project because it been not lasting a whole semester and I feel that I will have to make multiple small projects since my projects are one idea narrow. Another thing, is that I haven't been able to get my supplies to demonstrate my 1st project so I hope to get it quick, so procrasination won't cross my path. I feel pretty upset towards this because I do not know what to do to release it fully, and I hope other classes would have easy layed out work because it piles at the beginning of my week already.

-Hopefully I resolve my stress to hope in a great manner!!

Progressive Era

How Progressive was the Progressive Era?

How progressive was the Progressive Era in American history?

Things to consider (choose some, not all!):

* Workers & Working Conditions?

* Imperialism?

* Civil Liberties?

Make sure that you take a stand and establish a judgement, comparison in relation to a specific standard.

The progressive Era was a time period that initiated reformity throughout the United States by industrials, the progressive advocated lying upon economic, political and social reforms. Throughout the years, the movement remained really successful due to the local level of society, then after progressed through different states and became something many socities misbehave towards nationally. The Progressive era was obtained by reformers that were inside the middle class bracket and higher. Within the progressive era bracket my main arguments lied upon Civil rights, imperialism, and workers & working conditions.

What I have to say is that behind the scenes, the workers & working conditions were horrible treated by waging standards and lack of education by family income means getting in minors lives'. Many workers started young and the only think they knew was to get instant income because they knew that money spoke everywhere, even though many bosses knew that they cheated out their workers, workers were defense less due to no education.

The last issue that was fought throughout was imperialism and basically that established with continental countries that all fought with wanting take a piece of power and extending it long ways to own 3rd world countries like Africa because it was known to having a many natural resources. This issue established moments like the Boxer Rebellion, the panama canal, and Spanish- American war.

In the civil rights movement, the regulations were placed different such as the African American society had to flow with many other individual of not owning rights by color and many individuals had to restrain their votes from polls, also the White American society seen the black society as a property to them for example many black maids.

As you can see that these issues that happened way before acted upon through a tough situation of how progressive the era was back then and there will never be something so chaotic how this was and made a trademark in history.

Outstanding Blogz

What blogs are out there with outstanding examples of:

1. Economic advice to Barack Obama?
2. Literary Analysis?
3. Historical Writing?
4. Anything else that makes blogs great?

Quote examples for each and explain why you picked them! Show us and tell us what makes them great!

I believe that Daniel Ludolf's economic advisor blog entry impacted me with great writing techniques. I felt that Daniel Ludolf convinced me in his entry with having to backup new points. I hope that I can take some of ludolf's writing experience in creating my own opinionized-persuasive writing. Ludolf's historical reference actually make a connection with now and how obama's idea for stimulus should be used for consumerism, but most of it should be put in employment in order so the employment rate can go down in order so more people enhance consumerism. His flow of writing made me understand in a simplified way and not too much complicated words made my reading passage become a roadblock. The literary analysis were few but were very clear and if I was a person that read it for the 1st time, I believe I would have the message clear in no time. This quote below shows an example of connecting his main idea to a current event that successfully connected with the same idea:
"When unemployment rates it has been shown to produce spending cutbacks and that alone can hurt the economy according to John Kemp. " -Daniel Ludolf
Now a quote of a historical reference from JP Morgan chase:
We've lent some of it. We've not lent some of it. We've not given any accounting of, 'Here's how we're doing it."
I hope to read more of Ludolf's work because I seem to be intersted in his flow of writing and One day I want to accomplish that same nomination feeling that I'm giving him.

Charles Darwin history

Darwin was a famous scientist.... As humanities students (and humans), what responsibility do we have for the understanding of science? What role should scientific inquiry and scientific knowledge play in our own society? How should science influence our decisions, laws, and culture?

I believe that we as humanities students have personally gone through a revolution of refining ideas and many theories in our life. We normally understand science by having a part in hands on objects, and for a normal understanding we conclude positive when we see theories done in from of us. I also know that for fact that we as a educational society follow teacher advice and we rarely witness it by ourselves. Mr. Charles Darwin was a human that insisted in putting his ideas to the test and his imagination was infinite towards his understanding of life and how the human life reacted towards sexual attitude and responding attitude. We as a society take a risk of taking on scientific decisions because of what the society portrays it to be true or false but to our understanding we learn to trust decision by human experience or society's belief. Science goes longs ways and will be either proven or remain a mystery, but we know very well how to evolve with human experience or society's belief.

Give advice to Barrack Obama~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

IF ADVICE WAS GIVEN TO PRESIDENT OBAMA FROM MY PERSPECTIVE, I WOULD REDIRECT STRUCTURE BY RESOLVING THE AREA OF UNEMPLOYMENT IN BUSINESSES WITH ALL SOCIETY SUCH AS INDIVIDUAL ADULTS, FAMILIES AND TEENS.

Well, if I had a chance to help Obama redirect the American economy, I would most likely focus on a few aspects that would structure the say in the American economy. My main focus would have to do with poverty in order to help each individual or family stabilize their home and the way it can be adjusted would be by employment at big corporations or small businesses. Since Mr. Obama has already to much on his plate and he feels that cutting certain things might help restructure economy, why don’t we view it by a worker’s point of view and employ many people in order for them to maintain their home stability. While the winnings for businesses aren’t going to be made with a lot of profit at first, they will eventually going to be brought back with many tax cuts of check earnings throughout few years. Eventually throughout more employment opportunities, the economy will build up stability through checks of employees in corporations and small business. Looking back in the great depression, the “New Deal” method was presented and only made the year worse with people leeching off from the stimulus checks and caused former president Franklin D. Roosevelt to create a second “New Deal” bundle for the following year. The society savings became a bigger disaster, so it made every single person save as much pennies as they can for future struggles. In the quote below shows errors that were done due to desperation of wanting to fix the economy after 1933;

"State governors had shut down every bank and every bank account was frozen--no one could get a bank loan or cash checks or get at their deposits. Unemployment was 25% and higher in major industrial and mining centers. ”

In the end, it's just disappointment to new modern America in 2 aspects, first While Mr. Obama was confirming the stimulus deals with getting it passed the legislation, the people were collecting money and saving every single dime. By the time the stimulus checks are sent, society will not follow the economics opinion of "spending it" in a time in need, because families and individuals will have other responsibilities to take care of such as taxes, savings bonds, and last but not least many other personal properties. The second aspect relates to industrial revolution-- times when children were forced to work along with parents to make end's meet. Now in modern America, times have changed young teens are wanting to purposely get a job because of personal needs that parents cannot cover and so responsibility can get to their name. Unfortunately since the big corporations are worrying about profiting by hires , many seem that unemployment becomes high while economy struggles, and creates chaos between families of having an ideal of not meeting sufficiency. In this statistic it shows the unemployment rate in the state of California;

"Rank: 48 State: CALIFORNIA Unemployment Rate: 8.4 (in late 08')"

In concluding this leads me to follow and explain that there is more than one way about it to solve to employment issue and the liability of young adults having the hand to follow with helping out the economic system with their jobs that benefit their needs as aswell.

Give Advice to Barrack Obama~`

Well, if I had a chance to help Obama redirect the American economy, I would most likely focus on a few aspects that would structure the say in the American economy. My main focuses would have to do with poverty in order to help everyone out instead of just one person. Since Mr. Obama has already has to much on his plate and he feels that cutting certain things might help restructure risen taxes. Why don't looking at it from a worker's point of view, allowing multiple jobs hire many people could actually rise the economic tax cut from people's checks instead of looking for " New Deals" from former president FDR. All the "new deal" plan brought a lot of saving up due to individuals pocket in case of wealth worry. In the quote below shows errors that were done due to desperation and wanting to fix the issue quick,

At the end of all it just disappointed new modern America even more, While you Mr. Obama are confirming the stimulus deals, people are collecting money and not trying to spend a dime. By the time the stimulus checks are sent no one is going to really care about your opinion of "spending it", everyone is just going to leech from you one check at a time. Also Mr. Obama let me explain to you about industrial revolution and how it affected child poverty then and now, you might think that kids these days have a purpose to perform their necessities, back then times were runned by children forced to run factories and trying to make ends meet for family income. While now modern society kids, are decisioned to help their family prevent poverty but I'm guessing companies don't want to pay the labor so they are not attempting to hire but are letting many families go crazy with the ideal of not meeting sufficiency.
Back then:
And Now:
So know I rest my case to show that back then, a damn wasn't given to child labor and now it's very restricted due to dangerous working conditions. See so know cutting your teens from working cut the ability to rise the economy by basically deducting cash from all teens workers and adults.

My Intern interview will be on Next Tuesday, the date 2/10/09 and will be held in a room at my intern site around 2pm.

Interview Principles

With your reading & writing partner create three design principles for a great final product. For each design principle, give it a name, write a brief explanation (two or three sentences that show how to do it, what the design principle looks like in a final product, etc.), and show a professional, published example of this design principle in action.

Like this:

1. Design Principle Name: Two or three sentence explanation. Professional, published
example.

For each example, include a quote into your blog and provide a link to the whole interview.

  • Strong question that has research and info behind it with an in depth answer:
  • Focus on Interviewee while Host is hidden: you do not see the interviewer once in the entire film. but you do hear him asking the questions while the interviewee listens to questions & answers them to his full extent. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZL304eqveE)

  • Both individuals shown & flows conversation like: Interview Host and interviewee are clearly visible on screen at least once while the interview flows as a smooth conversation with the questions being answered with great information and evidence to back up what they are saying. My 1st day of Internship!

1st day of internship contained many tours around the workplace and some specific guidelines to follow such as signing in/out, making sure progress gets done and ideas become brainstormed for internship project, and also focus on tasking by myself with issues of assistance. I got to my internship by bus, but arrived a little late due to traffic and bus breakdown on route 10. I felt that mentors were going to feel worried or angered by my arrival, but on the contrary they weren't bothered by it (I know that mistake of arriving late will not be repeated).

Today, I ate fast-food Burger King because it was nearby from my internship location, and enjoyed my lunch greatly. I am probably going to be able to spend lunch with my mentors in order to become friendly in a personal level outside of work. I am pretty much looking forward to that for thursday coming up. I got home from a ride from my mom's because she works close by in mission hills and she also came to pick up my sister since my sister's school is in the same building as my internship. I felt calm and stress-free when I went home because of my tour and the courteousy that was given to me making me feel comfortable with all staff.

FDR's Inaugural Speech and How it affects Modern Society!!

Select an inaugural address or farewell address from any president in American history. Then, in a thoughtfully composed essay, explain the relevance of the selected address in modern society. You must also directly refer to at least one current event through a related news article.

Franklin D. Roosevelt took the role of the presidency in 1933 during a severe time. He faced challenges ahead of him such as Hard Economics, World War II, and Citizen Unemployment. In today’s society, America’s wary attitude should have learned by past economic crisis that was later mentioned through FDR’s Inaugural Address speech.

“Only Thing We Have to Fear Is Fear Itself”, that was verbalized from Franklin D. Roosevelt in his position of becoming the 32nd president in 1933. When he was elected he wished on people to regain them with faith as his own motivation was to change the world around through his "New Deal". His new deal observed the time dedication of 100 days to monitor the economic struggle, and find hopes for wealth to be spread around due to every individuals investment plan need to survive. As the 1st deal expanded it's time because of the issue of his belief not happening yet, he explored his beliefs of renewing the "New Deal" for another year. As the struggle got worst he wasn't able to recover the issue, but still was able to keep his head up and establish at least getting a small-good portion of citizens; jobs, housing and agriculture relief. As for modern society, president Obama has now the world in his hands to face the new 08’economic crisis with his belief of stimulus checks being the probable result to relief the issue. As president Obama’s 1st stimulus check was sent out to many American citizens, as relief that is sounds on the long run, it’s guessed that one stimulus check wasn’t enough to straighten the situation. As President Obama’s 2nd stimulus check gets distributed again with a higher quantity for many citizens could be a better result this time or could lead Obama mistaking FDR’s past failures.

When it lead to the WW II, money wishing started to get really tight entitled to paying money towards weapons for the war to enforce the U.S. and multiple pennies that individuals wanted to keep & save, just incase bankruptcy was going to lead the only option due to the severe economic crisis. Many citizens still had their hopes up to believing the Inaugural address of FDR, was going to be changed around sooner or later. When President Obama had to face bush’s mistake in going into war with Iraq, there was no other way to tackle the issue but involve money expenses to be taken care of by the American society for war operations. In the comparison of WWII and Iraq war, on WWII expenses were high due to the war operations that U.S. established to ally with than Iraq because of the due to allying with Soviet Union, British Empire and China. In these quotes shows that Iraq war wasn't stated more valuable than WWII.

"The price tag in Iraq now is more than double the cost of the Korean War and a third more expensive than the Vietnam War" Vs.

"Only World War II was more expensive".

To also add on with roles for citizens to attempt to get employed became tough due to the limitation of positions in different job fields. In FDR's Inaugural Address speech, stated that unemployment became a big issue towards the denying of expanding work positions and salary boosting, such as in this quote; "More important, a host of unemployed citizens face the grim problem of existence, and an equally great number toil with little return." In the 08' economy issue, the unemployement rate rised higher than "Many Mountains" in the Great Depression, for example here in this quote: "Worst year for jobs since '45, Annual loss biggest since end of World War II. Unemployment rate rises to 7.2%."

To concluding FDR's unmet expectations and Obama's recent decisions, in today's society if modern crisis is given a longer time, it could reach up to a bigger scale of the Great Depression.

Obama's Inauguration!!

January 20, 2009
In Barack Obama's Inaugural adress, I felt that a certain stood out to me more than others and it is an obvious thing that we as a nation are always forgetting about us. That section is

"For they have forgotten what this country has already done; what free men and women can achieve when imagination is joined to common purpose, and necessity to courage. " Barack Obama, Inaguration adress.

I chose that section due to past experiences of similar issues that I faced, He or She faced or We faced because as my life in the U.S. nation we exempt our selves to become focused on the issues that the nation has faced. I , as a citizen has been constantly reminded about all the bad things in life instead of all the accomplishments we had made as a Free Land Nation. In an example of this quote is that Obama is a victim of this quote due to his outspoken presence for his common purpose while suffered at same time the necessity to courage himself in order to be heard.

Listening to this quote can bring many different examples of historical literature, and obviously all leading figures abstract from this same stage to become heard and a useful resource to the political party.

George Bush Protects Marine Areas VS. George Bush and His Environmental Sins

This is something very random that Mr. George W. Bush would do in life because he came from creating environmental disaster to the whole economy such as war over rich oil and no attempt to stop global warming. Now, He is saving marine life in open water by restricting publicity from Sea Shepard and extinction of unique animal and three new marine national monuments. The way Mr. Bush views himself is as a big time disgrace by all means because he simply showed that decisions weren't being done right and was actually stressed about many life & death situations due to the middle eastern war. The ex- president is now trying to make a huge remembrance at the last minute due to his departure soon from the office, even though it's a great thing that he is doing by helping marine areas and ocean conservancy monitor the seas for the sake of animals, but.... it won't really change my attitude towards hi m and his ways that he ruled the office.

As Mr. Bush keeps in remembrance with everyone that he created the economy issue and war-over-rich oil issue and global warming issue, he knows that his life outside the white house will never be the same but one thing I know that President Barrack Obama is going to create resolution to all the environmental sins that bush made. The ideas will resolute the issues below stated on "Bush's seven deadly environmental sins":
  1. Blew hot air on global warming
  2. Failed to regulate greenhouse gases at home
  3. Failed to develop clean energy sources
  4. Abandoned endangered species
  5. Carved up the American West for oil and gas excavation
  6. Not seeing the forest or the trees
  7. Choked our clean-air standards

Internship Questions

Please answer all of the following before
11:59:59 pm on 1/6/09. You should write a brief paragraph for each answer (this entry does not require a link to a news story).

1. What do you hope to learn or discover about the "adult" world of work while you are at your internship?

My hopes for discovery due to the Adult world of work, are that 1st I get to experience many acceptions and rejections in many situations, so I don't get surprised later on. Then, I get to learn how to be really flexible and become a great multi-skill person for future references. My big motive is to get the best out of this experience in order to be a successful person, also try to make a semi-pro reputation for further notices or jobs.

2. What do you hope to learn or discover about yourself and your identity while you are at your internship this semester?

I also want to find out if my strengths that I experienced become eligible to a work field and
enough to make a company proud they interned me or future hire me. One good thing, I want to be able to find if my identity relies behind a big company or law job with a suit on or a man doing hard work at a construction site for someone else. I hope to discover my weaknesses and to improve them throughout the internship period.
3. What goals do you have for yourself for your internship experience?

My #1 goal that I hope to discover is my career field, because overall right now I am just sampling many types of fields. I rely on this goal to be discovered soon in order to start preparing and searching up on that specific field, so I can also find colleges that support that field for the future.
